Q: How long does it take to create a mobile app?

A: That varies based on your application needs. The real question should be: “When do you customers need this app to do what they need it to do?”

Q: What kind of companies does SRT Solutions work with?

A: Our clients range from Fortune 500 to small businesses. Recent clients represent health information, manufacturing, social science research, restaurant, government, and information services industries.

Q: How big are the projects SRT Solutions works on?

A: On the small end, our clients are working on $50,000 budgets per project. Most projects that size run 3 months. On the large end, projects can span multiple years and run into the millions.

Q: Why doesn’t SRT Solutions focus on one set of technologies? Why maintain expertise across platforms and channels?

A: We have a team with diverse experience. We add to that experience with dedicated
learning time during which developers can check out new languages and tools. Those experiences help us choose the right technology for your project.

Often projects require integrating technologies. We may recommend that you build your web application using Ruby and HTML5, or your rich internet application (RIA) in .Net and Flex.

Platform diversity also helps us find the best way to break up large projects. By creating many, smaller deliverable pieces of software, we can deliver business value to our customers early in the development process.

Q: Does SRT Solutions offer a staff augmentation service/model?

A: No. On occasion, our people will spend one day per week at a client site to collaborate / communicate with customers on a regular basis.

Q: Does SRT Solutions have a corporate blog?

A: No. Many of our team write their own blog.

Q: Is SRT Solutions privately held?

A: Yes. SRT Solutions is wholly owned by Dianne Marsh, President, and Bill Wagner, CEO. Dianne and Bill co-founded SRT Solutions in 1999.

Q: How can I get a job at SRT Solutions?

A: Our development team is active in the software community. We founded and participate in a number of user groups and regional tech conferences including CodeMash. Get involved in the community and demonstrate your commitment to continuous learning. From there, we’ll find you. Of course, you should send your resume to resumes@srtsolutions.com. We don’t often post open positions, but we’ve hired 2-3 developers each of the last several years.

Q: Does SRT Solutions work on retainer, hourly billing, or fixed fee?

A: Our engagements are unique to each client. We are happy to talk to you to find a suitable fee structure.
